Q&A: Your Questions Answered

Booking your wedding makeover

  • Will I need to pay a deposit?

  • Yes. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding day. The deposit is non-refundable should you cancel as I have reserved your date and risk the chance of losing other business from bridal parties, models & photographers. By paying your $100 deposit, you abide by these terms and agree to forfeit your deposit if you cancel.

Should your booking proceed as normal your $100 deposit will be deducted from the total cost on your wedding day.
    Thank you for your understanding.

    Organising your special makeover

  • What products do you use?

  • Pink Diva uses only the best beauty brands. The products are chosen based on their performance, durability and quality. Products are hypoallergenic and suitable for all skin types.
Pink Diva Makeup uses: Harlotte Cosmetics (AU), Napoleon Perdis (AU), Melli Cosmetics (AU), Beauty Blenders (USA), and Make Up Store (Sweden).

  • Are you a stockist?

  • Yes. Pink Diva Makeup stocks Harlotte Cosmetics so you can take that special lipstick, gloss, mascara or eye pencil for touch-ups on your special day/evening

  • When should I book my trial and wedding dates?

  • As soon as possible to secure your date and we will schedule your trial 4-6 weeks before your wedding day.

  • What does a trial involve?

  • Your wedding trial is an important session where we sit together to discuss options and answer questions in your consultation. We love it if you bring along samples of looks from magazines, etc to the trial and if you forget to, don't worry - we have plenty to choose from.
We then take your ideas into account and perform your trial wedding makeover. We create and alter the look until you are completely satisfied, take photos and keep record of what we discussed.
If you are seeking a separate look for the bride and bridesmaids, it is highly recommended to have a trial for both the bride and a bridesmaid together to ensure the looks are perfect. (If you choose not to do so then you may find it takes more time on the wedding date which could in turn make you late.)

  • How long does a trial take?

  • Allow between 60 - 90 minutes for the consultation and makeover.

  • How long does a wedding or formal makeover take?

  • Allow about 60 minutes for the makeover (including touch ups).

    Preparing for your special event

  • How should I prepare for my special event?

  • Ensure you have exfoliated your skin the day before to ensure you do not have flakey or overly dry skin as this will be visible in the photos. Try to moisturise your skin the morning of the makeup and wash your hair too.

  • When should I organise a spray tan?

  • If you are planning on having a spray tan, I recommend having it 2-3 days before at a tanning salon with a good reputation. Ask for a natural tan and ensure they have not missed any spots or left lines around your wrists, knees, elbows and underarms as these are extremely hard to cover and photographers have a lot of difficulty photoshopping 200+ images with bad tan lines.

  • Which tanning salons or brands do you recommend?

  • I recommend Ella Rouge Beauty Salon in Erina. It is best to have a trial done a week or two beforehand to ensure the tan looks natural.
